The base distillate for Jacob’s macvin is a 2016 marc du Jura; it was blended in 2020 with Nicolas’ musts of Chardonnay from that year. The blend was then aged three more years in barrels before being bottled; this is the first release of macvin from Jacob’s domaine, as it’s not a product he makes every year or even particularly often! Notes of lightly golden yellow apple, cinnamon, toasted honey, all while maintaining a clear mineral underpinning.
