Basil Hayden Description
Toast introduces a new bourbon mashbill for the brand that replaces the usual high rye mashbill of 27% rye with 27% brown rice. Toast also undergoes a secondary toasted barrel finish. After aging, the bourbon is pulled and additional brown rice bourbon is blended in and proofed down to 80. The addition of rice adds a hint of sweetness and a touch less spice with increased depth of flavor. This bourbon has notes of toasted wood, vanilla, and caramel with a light mouthfeel, making this a great option for sipping around the campfire.
