Appleton's newest expression, an update of the previously non-age statement Reserve Blend, is a blend of pot and column still rums, with a focus on select heavy pot still rums, all aged a minimum of 8 years. It is bottled at 43% abv, without any added sugar, flavorings, or adulterants. Their funkiest, most classically Jamaican blend, the nose has classic orange peel notes along with pronounced banana and spicy nutmeg. The palate deftly balances juicy tropical fruit with a sharp, drying oak spice, along with honey, citrus, and vanilla.
