Christos Zafeirakis is the fifth generation of his family to make wine in Thessaly, on the slopes of Mt. Olympus. He earned his master's degree in oenology from Milan, then worked in Tuscany, Piedmont and Alto Adige before returning home to Tyrnavos where he grew his family estate to 8 hectares and started the first organic vineyards in the area. This Assyrtiko has a beautiful nose of wildflowers and citrus zest with a whisper of vanilla. The palate is medium-bodied and wonderfully textured with flavors of stone fruit and Meyer lemon curd. It finishes with crisp, refeshing acidity and a tinge of minerality.
