Aromas of crushed violet, pink peppercorn, rhubarb, and blackberry. As fresh as this wine is, there is a darker, earthy note of autumn leaves and petrichor. The palate is juicy and upfront with fine tannins and generous acidity. This wine just gets better the longer it's open!

The 2021 Mondeuse Argillet is another impressive wine in this range from Jaimee Motley. Inky blue/purplish fruit, gravel, dried herbs, lavender and licorice all race across the palate. There is some firmness in the tannin that suggests a good decant is in order.
