We are always amazed by the intense concentration and incredible minerality of the Jacobus – this is purism, for everyone, simply straight-edge! The grapes are gently pressed for six hours and then fermented spontaneously. The aging takes place partly in steel and partly in large oak barrels. The Jacobus is, at least for us, one of the greatest estate wines Germany has to offer. A Riesling that is a pleasure to drink, that plays with delicacy and intensity, combining fruit and spice without being overly complicated.
