Immich-Batterieberg Description
A blend from Gernot's four Grand Cru sites of ungrafted vines that are a minimum of 60 years old. A vivid, energetic, deceptively dry Riesling with rich fruit and powerful aromatics (reminiscent of an Alsatian wine).

Still very young with quite a yeasty character from sur lie maturation, but also stacks of golden autumnal fruits and subtle spicy notes. Although it has a pretty racy acidity that gives it excellent tension, there’s also considerable substance and complexity. Long, intensely mineral finish. 60% from the Ellergrub site, the rest from this producer’s other top sites. From organically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2024.
