Taupenot-Merme is managed by 9th generation winemakers Virginie and Romain, brother and sister. Heirs to a centuries-old family tradition, they cultivate their vines using organic methods and produce authentic wines. Romain jokingly refers to himself as a "lazy winemaker," prioritizing work in the vineyard in order to minimize the need for intervention in the cellar. This Pinot Noir is a perfect blend of richness and elegance. The palate shows a silky texture, beautiful acidity, and remarkably fine tannins, with flavors of strawberries, blackcurrant, earth, and a bit of spiciness from the wine's year-long aging in French oak.
