100% Tannat, 5 weeks of maceration, 12-15 months of aging in new 400-liter oak barrels. Philippe Mur bottles a powerful Tannat every year, which fits perfectly into the phalanx of top wines from Christine Dupuy, Domaine Berthoumieu, Alain Bortolussi, and Guy Capmartin. Plenty of power, dark forest fruits, a very slightly wild note, and a hint of leather. Despite 14 barrels, it seems a bit lighter with higher acidity. Quite juicy on the palate.
