Cantine Garrone is a small winery nestled into the Alps in the Ossola Valley, the northernmost appellation in Piedmont. The soils are glacial schist in nature. This along with the high elevation vines makes for a formidable red blend for pizza and pasta! Great acid from the Barbera and Nebbiolo and a dark-fruited, almost chocolatey note from the Croatina finish with soft, slightly drying tannins. It begs to be enjoyed with a slight chill and a gaggle of friends.
