Vidal Fleury Description
Ventoux is a large wine region in the far southeast of the southern Rhône, on the border with Provence. The wines of Ventoux are identifiably Rhône in style, but with a distinctive lifted freshness, however the style depends on the blend. This one is dominated by Syrah which gives a vibrant nose that reveals notes of blueberry, plum, lingonberry, black cherry, violet and spices. A Syrah-dominant blend with Grenache and Mourvèdre, it's powerful and structured but freshly balanced by crushed-stone minerality, pleasant grippy tannins and a lingering salty finish.
