In February 2022, in the first hours of Russia’s invasion, Prince Trubetskoi winery was attacked and occupied. 70 years of library wines were destroyed and looted, the main structure was badly damaged, and operations ceased. As an act of defiance and to ensure the eventual rebuilding, the “Stoic” project was launched on the shores of Yalpug Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Ukraine with grapes grown in the outstanding loam and limestone soils with its climate moderated by the Black Sea. Every bottle supports Prince Trubetskoi Winery’s revival.
