Wow! The texture on this wine is like falling into a pillow—where some Finger Lakes Riesling can be sharply edged and austere, this one is polished and round, with detailed tropical fruit, lime and beeswax flavors. It’s generous and mouth filling, with flavors reminiscent of Forge’s Freese Vineyard Dry Riesling. The bright acidity crescendos for quite some time, a true mark of quality in my book. Tastes like great German Feinherb Riesling, where balance is everything. The fruit for this comes from a warm site protected by a nearby cove, nearly 100 feet on the northwest side of Seneca Lake. Aged in stainless steel barrels on the lees before bottling.
