This is a blend of 75% Merlot, 12.5% Cabernet Franc and 12.5% Cabernet Sauvignon from the original Estate Vineyard plantings from the 1980s. Grapes were destemmed and undergo a gentle fermentation before aging in neutral French oak for about 12 months. It's a delicious cozy red that really showcases the smooth and supple side of Merlot, with subtle fine tannins and balanced acidity. Great for sipping on its own or with food, it's an easygoing and fresh red that still has substance.
