The 2021 Riesling Hallgartener Jungfer Grosses Gewächs was grown on mica schist mixed with quartzite. The nose has a touch of reductive int but then relaxes into lemons, green apples and creamy yeast. The palate is juicy, slender, concentrated and bouncy with yeast. It's serene, bright, absolutely honing on a central streak of ripe lemon and an intense, ocean-like umami note. There is a slight diusion with lactic notes, but the lemony brightness shines. Intense, long, slender, resonant with long-lasting lemon notions.
