Manzoni Bianco is a little known Italian grape variety that was created in the 1930s by crossing Riesling and Pinot Bianco. Plantings are scarce—less than 1,000 acres are planted. This example from Gregoletto is grown in the gorgeous hills of Conegliano in the Veneto (AKA Prosecco territory), and is definitely Italy's answer to a Chablis or Muscadet. In the glass it's a refreshingly crisp and aromatic white that will pair perfectly with grilled chicken or spinach and ricotta pasta!
