Gilgal Cabernet Sauvignon was produced from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the Golan Heights and Upper Galilee. The cool climate, rocky volcanic soil, and high altitude are ideal conditions for growing this classic variety. Aging in French oak barrels for 12 months adds to the complexity and cellaring potential of this deep red wine. Flavors of blackberry, plum and raspberry, along with notes of black tea and cocoa, and hints of fresh herbs and French oak. Pairs well with braised beef short ribs, herb-roasted lamb chops, or grilled Portobello mushrooms.
