Christine and Daniel Chaussy are the 5th generation of winemakers for the celebrated family run estate, Mas de Boislauzon. This 2017 is the first release of a new wine using grapes from two vineyards in the north of the appellation farmed biodynamically. The blend is 70% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah.
This is an ebullient, perfumed blend of Grenache (70%), Mourvèdre (20%) and Syrah (10%) sourced from limestone soils. Vinified entirely in concrete, its black currant and mulberry flavors are piercing and pure, lifted by tangs of salty minerality and fine, lingering tannins. A thrilling sip to enjoy young but likely to improve through 2030.
