100% Romorantin, a close, but nearly lost sibling to Chardonnay that was once widely planted across the Loire Valley. Nowadays the Cour-Cheverny appellation is the only place on the planet that Romorantin can be found. The nose touches on a wide range of aromas, like smooth, wet river stones and honeysuckle and dried lemongrass fronds. Light bodied, but powerful in intensity and density, reminiscent of the high-octane Savagnin of Jura. Spring honey and nutty flavors on the midpalate with suggestions of white truffle and acacia wood, this wine lingers long, clean and tinged with mineral tones.
