A blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot with 30 year average vine age. The grapes are grown on gravel over iron-rich sandstone soil and aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (25% new). Opening with espresso, smoke, cocoa and red fruits, the wine is medium-bodied, fresh, vibrant and crisp, with an elevated note of savory herbs, espresso, olives and spice on the palate. A good blast of tobacco-infused red fruits and a hint of chocolate linger on the fruity, savory finish.
