Similar to the rest of the base solera range, the Palo Cortado has turned into NV Great Duke Palo Cortado 12 Años, of which I tasted a bottle that was a little older and showed some more complexity, as all the wines have more or less biological aging (even the Oloroso). This is a good range to understand this type of wine, as they show good typicity, even though they are not very old, super concentrated or powerful. As a good Palo Cortado, it has some finesse that the oxidative wines usually lack.
