The vineyards have coral in limestone soil as across the Austrian border, hence the label with the giant fossilised seashell. All Ciringa wines are organic/biodynamic despite the abundant rains as in South Styria. Spontaneous fermentation, 18-20 months elevage in large, used Corinthian (Austria) oak barrels and stainless steel. The wine bursts with super bright acidity, with notes of chalky minerality and white grapefruit, offering any Sancerre a run for the money; I dare you to taste it blind side by side!
